Why we built this

Every photo and AI-generated image carries hidden data: where it was taken, which device or app created it, when it was edited and sometimes the exact prompt used to generate it. Most people never see this data, yet it travels with the file whenever it is shared.

How we're different

• No uploads. All processing happens in your browser. We do not operate a file-processing server.
• Lossless. Metadata tools edit the file container and leave the compressed image data byte-for-byte identical.
• Verified results. Every cleaned file is re-scanned, and we only report a category as removed if it is actually gone.
• Honest limits. We clearly explain what metadata removal cannot do — like removing pixel-level watermarks or guaranteeing a platform won't label AI content.
